Ok, so I am not being held responsible for the topics discussed in this week's podcast. It gets a little out of hand. That's what happens when there's beer, mojitos and wine about. We talk about everything from Sesame Street to swearing to dog sex. Again, I wish I was joking.

On the issue of swearing, I remember one of our uncles was visiting, and he and Mom were talking about some movie (can't remember which one), which Mom didn't like because of all the language in it. The uncle said "You mean like 'shit'?" Mom laughed nervously.

ReplyDeleteI don't mind swearing, and do so frequently, I'm just not a fan of swearing in casual conversation. I suppose not being allowed to say "Shut up" when we were kids has something to do with it.
It might have been Brian, but I'm not sure. I also remember being afraid of swearing when I was young. On balance, its probably a good thing that we were discouraged from doing it.
