Happy Valentines Day from Dublin. In case you didn't know Dublin is actually the home of St Valentines relics. The relics were donated to the Whitefriar Street Carmelite Church in Dublin by Pope Gregory XVI in 1836, so I suppose you could say that Dublin not crappy cities like Paris or Venice is truly the center of romance.

Sadly, we didn't have a Happy Valentine's Day...there was a minor argument :) However, it's all worked out now, and no, the argument had nothing to do with lack of or unsuitable Valentine's Day presents. Hope you guys had a good one.
ReplyDeleteI spent Valentine's Day with three couples, a single guy dating two women at once, and a newborn baby. Surprisingly, not much romance present.
ReplyDeleteI spent mine with my dog, curled up on the couch, eating Indian take-out and watching Firefly. Not a bad night, in my estimation. I did get a red rose, though....the dude at the Indian take-out place gave it to me. I thought it was a little odd, but hey, free flower.
ReplyDeleteI wont make the fella blush but he did well, we after much discussion decided to stay in and avoid the super rosemantic couples en masse out in restaurants and pubs, and I'm glad we did! And yes I am aware i used the word "rosemantic"!
ReplyDelete"Rosemantic"? That's almost a portmanteau word, isn't it?
